Pre-operation Preparation for Laboratory Sieve Shaker

The laboratory sieve shaker is a particle size analysis instrument with automatic timed start and stop function, which can accurately separate one type of granular material into 2 to 9 particle fractions simultaneously. It is widely used in research laboratories and quality inspection departments of geology, chemical, cement, pharmaceutical, food and other industries. Test sieves are also known as standard inspection sieves, standard analytical sieves or experimental sieves.For customers’ convenient operation, Xinmingde Machinery introduces the material testing procedures of the sieve shaker as follows for your reference:

  1. Check whether the connected power supply meets the requirements (verify against the nameplate and confirm reliable grounding wire connection).

  2. Check if the sieve shaker is placed horizontally.

  3. Ensure no foreign objects around the vibrating part of the sieve shaker.

  4. Tighten all bolts on each component of the sieve body.

  5. Select appropriate standard sieve frames according to the properties of the material to be sieved.

  6. Stack the standard sieve frames on the base in ascending order of aperture size from bottom to top.

  7. Pour the test material into the top sieve frame and cover with the upper lid.

  8. Adjust the height of the adjusting rod according to the total height of stacked sieve frames. Fix and compress the sieve frames with the pressing plate and locking nut, applying even force on both sides.

  9. Set the operating time on the timer based on material characteristics and feeding quantity, then switch on the power to start the sieve shaker.

  10. Unscrew the locking nut, remove the pressing plate and take off the stacked sieve frames carefully.

  11. Cut off the power supply of the standard inspection sieve shaker.
