Filter Screen Assembly (simplified as Filter Disc)

Filter screen assembly, commonly referred to as filter disc, is mainly installed at the front of spinnerets of various spinning machines for synthetic fiber and regenerated fiber production in the chemical fiber industry, as well as other equivalent working environments. It filters impurities out of spinning dope to keep spinneret holes unblocked, improve the purity of spinning solution and stabilize spinning quality.

Matched with gaskets, mesh sheets and sealing rings, filter discs are essential spare parts for chemical fiber spinning. A filter disc is a flat filter component fabricated by cold stamping and assembling multiple layers of stainless steel wire mesh (21.8–508 mesh per square inch, filtration rating 28 μm) together with metal plates made of aluminum, nickel-plated copper or stainless steel.

Basic Structure

In terms of outer shape, the products cover round, annular, waist-shaped, rectangular and elliptical types. Custom filter discs with special shapes and dimensions can be developed based on mutual agreement between buyers and manufacturers.

All metal wire mesh is manufactured strictly in accordance with national standard GB5330-85. Wire mesh is categorized into support mesh and filter mesh by aperture size. The support mesh features sufficient rigidity, mechanical strength and impact toughness, while the precision of filter mesh directly determines the purification effect of spinning dope.
